"Bicycles To Give" is a service which provides bicycles to students in Central Oregon who are not able to afford one.  I work in tandem with Family Advocates of Redmond School District and the Redmond Police Department to provide this service.  When a Family Advocate identifies a student in need of a bike, I am notified.  I then contact the police who oftentimes have bikes that have never been claimed and can therefore be donated.   I then go through the bikes thoroughly, repairing and replacing parts as needed.  The Community of Christ Church donates a monthly money amount to help defray the costs of parts and repairs.  Once the bikes are repaired and safe to ride they are delivered to the students.                               Ken Cardwell
